A visit to a Historical Place

People who have no knowledge of their history, background, and culture are like a tree that has no roots. Visiting a historic site is a thrill. It gives us a chance to see the past. Thousands of tourists from all over the world visit Pakistan to see its important historical sites.

Last week, my friend Arshad and I made the decision to visit the Jahangir cemetery. It is the most interesting place in history. My friend had brought his motorcycle. We have left the place of history with joy. We got there half an hour later.

Jahangir's tomb was in front of us. We were glad to see it. First, we overlooked Jahangir's tomb and were fascinated by its beauty. Jahangir's Tomb is located near Near Shahdara in Lahore on the other side of the Ravi River. One can see four long minarets in the tomb from a distance.

We bought tickets and went through the main gate. The main gate is long and strong. It is made of red sandstone. The main building is around an area of about two acres [2 ha]. There are gardens all around. There are evergreen trees along the path that leads to the great structure of the tomb.

We were very impressed by the architectural qualities of the architects. The tomb was right in front of us. It was made of white marble Red sandstone was used here and there. Blue-brown marbles are also freely used. It really was the best piece of architecture in the world. Its performance is excellent. It catches guests by spelling.

After a short walk, we came to the tomb itself. It is a low, high and beautiful building. Jahangir, the great Mughal emperor, is sleeping in an inner room. Nothing will bother him now. The tomb is made of colored bricks and marble. On the walls of the tomb, there are beautiful colorful designs. We donated Fateha and blessed his soul. After that, we went up one of the minarets. We could see the whole city of Lahore. It was a very good idea. It filled our hearts with joy. After a while, we went down.

It was 2 P.M. and we were very tired. We felt hungry. So we sat down in a park under a shady tree. We picked up the dry lunch that we had brought with us. After that, we had tea at the local tea stage. After a short break, we visited each part of this beautiful art. We were very impressed to see this deep and artistic work.

It was getting late. We returned home, tired but happy. Our visit to Jahangir Cemetery was a great reward. Seeing is believing. We really enjoyed the visit. It was an unforgettable visit to the historic site. It will always be clean in our minds.
